Baby's first Christmas

I may have mentioned this before, but I have the world's cutest baby brother. He's very serious, very intent, then he'll flash a beatific smile. And he has the biggest brown eyes, with long eyelashes. His mom dressed him in a little Santa outfit for Christmas morning.

I'm having a very relaxing vacation. Maybe because we're all (except for Ben) getting old, but we don't do much. Tonight we went out to dinner, then drove through the local botanical garden's light display. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring an extra bottle for Ben, and as soon as we got into the garden (behind forty slow moving other cars) he began to cry because he was hungry. Then he began to scream. Then he really got mad. Fortunately, the only times he cries are when he's hungry and when he's bumped himself, but this time he was really, really hungry.

We're home now, he's fed and almost asleep, and it's blissfully quiet. May he sleep deeply all night long.
