Diapering without a baby

I finished the diapering on the other scroll tonight, using a geometric pattern with flowers inside instead of the shooting star/vine pattern on the other one. It looks OK, though painting with gold is so hard that I don't like the line thickness that much. I'm sure the recipient won't even notice (but I will!). I started to do the outlining of the critters on the shields, but started making so many mistakes I quit for the night.

I got my taxes back from the accountant, and will get a pretty big return from the IRS, and only owe a dollar to the state. My credit cards will be happy.

Of course, since I posted that paragraph of my story I haven't written anything on it. I should know better by now.
