Bits and pieces

1. On my walks, I have recently seen the following wildlife:

• a kestrel, hunting
  
• a skunk
  
• a snake
  
• my second black-crowned night heron
  

2. I bought a blouse, in the normal-sized women's section, that was size XL, and it was too big! (I bought it without trying it on, because I hadn't realized I'd gotten that thin yet.)

3. The director of my division at work has agreed to have Facilities set up a chipping and putting green in the grassy area in the corner of the parking lot next to my building. Yes, it was my idea, why do you ask?

4. I checked a real map, and my walk of a couple of weeks ago wasn't eleven miles, it was fifteen. I'm feeling much better about completing the Overnight.

5. I finished Kate Elliott's Crown of Stars series, and it was excellent!
