(no subject)

My mother was here for a whole week, and I had a wonderful time being with her. Unfortunately I spent most days at work up in the city, but I worked from home on Wednesday because of a doctor's appointment, so that gave me more time with her. We played Scrabble quite a bit, and she's a very good player. She read three of Chaz's books while she was here, and particularly liked "The Samaritan", his first mystery, since she's a big fan of mysteries. My house seems very lonely with no one else in it.

A big step

I sent off the paperwork for Chaz's fiance visa to the lawyer today. I have this niggling feeling that I didn't put enough postage on the envelope (it was a *big* envelope).
