UPS for the lose

I'm waiting at home on my first Saturday back from Europe, instead of going to the farmer's market, the grocery store, the post office, the bank, or the pharmacy. At this point, the post office is closed, so I can't my packages until next week. The farmer's market is mostly packed up, so that's a loss, too. Why am I sitting here waiting? Because my next month's worth of drugs is supposed to be delivered by UPS today. They're shipped in a container to keep them cool, since they need to be refrigerated. The previous two times I got boxes of drugs they came via Fedex, who had them at my house by 10:00. Not UPS. No sign of them. Sigh.

After UPS showed up, finally, I got almost all of my errands run, except for visiting the post office. I was wiped out when I got home, though, so I just stayed at home enjoying the novelty of having my own food in my own house. Then the handle of my own toilet broke. Sigh. I may need to work from home on Monday in order to get a plumber in to fix it. But that will give me a chance to get to the post office, so it's not a complete loss (provided my boss doesn't mind if I work from home).

(I'm sorry I missed the Bard of the Mists feast. I really love that event, but circumstances and stamina just weren't there for me today.)
