Winter has come, and Christmas will follow

Chaz and I went down to Santa Cruz this past weekend, into quite a strong rain storm, to visit a couple of his friends who have moved out here from London. (This seems to be the place for British writers these days. All the cool kids are out here.) They took us down to the river, where the parade of boats decorated with Christmas lights was going past. We got to see some of the parade as we drove around looking for parking, but since we weren't going to get to see the parade, we went over to the most decorated house evah.



(I don't want their electric bill or storage costs, but it sure looks festive.)
