Out and about

Yesterday I had a rare day out. I called up Laurie to come join me at The Mountain View, a military surplus store. I love browsing in surplus stores, and this one had a lot of interesting bags: several first aid supply kit bags (and some actual first aid kits containing the original (types of) supplies), several map cases, all sorts of shoulder and rear and side bags. I came for a particular kind of map case that Kevin Andrew Murphy had at BayCon. It will hold an iPad, plus has a large window to hold a map, or, say, a convention schedule grid. I think it will work well for a con bag.
