I just stepped on my turtle

On the hardwood floor in the living room, she makes a sound like sliiiide THUMP, sliiiide THUMP. On the carpet next to my computer, not so much. How was I supposed to know she'd crept up on me?

ETA: Don't worry, she's fine. She tucked herself into her shell.
