Today started out overcast, but after I got back from Hobee's with [livejournal.com profile] acanthusleaf (a Sunday tradition) the sun came out and the afternoon has been sunny and warm. I took advantage of this to plant a gift from [livejournal.com profile] learnteach next to one of my rosebushes, and to clip back the roses. One of them hasn't grown much this year, and has started spring growth already, so I didn't do much to it. The other one grew more, hence is spindlier, so I did what I could without (I hope) damaging it. Then I dug up the iris bulbs from the area along the house where they're threatening to push up the patio, and right now I'm watering Chaz's lemon tree so it will grow deep roots. And I'm tired. Gardening is hard, but it is rewarding to see the progress the plants make.
