It's funny how owning a house changes things. OK, owning a yard. In my old rental house I lived for fourteen years without planting a thing, only occasionally going out to trim branches on the bushes or water the tree. In this house, I have the plants in the turtle run, two rose bushes (that are doing well so far this year), a strawberry plant, a rosemary plant, flowers, and Chaz's lemon tree. It's supposed to get down near freezing tonight, and I actually went out and put a light blanket over the lemon tree. It may not help at all, but I had to try. It's Chaz's lemon tree, after all. I hope things don't get that cold, though. Everything was looking healthy and happy this week.
