Mar. 15th, 2011 01:22 pmI'd promised Chaz that last Monday I'd take him to a museum, but then it turned out the museums were all closed on Mondays, so I promised I'd take him to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Then I was too tired after Potlatch to take him, so instead we went shopping. Fun, but not a bridge.
On Sunday, since we were already in San Francisco for FogCon, Chaz and I took the bus over to the bridge, where we walked all the way across and back. I explained to him that going this time was better, because the wind and the rain meant that there was hardly anybody else on the bridge to get in our way. It was exhilarating, in fact, and a lot of fun. There were surfers in the Bay at the foot of the bridge looking for a wave, plus some sailboats of different sizes out as well. It was chilly, but nothing like, say, Newcastle. I had a lot of fun. So, apparently, did Chaz.
