And yet again

At work today, as I was writing the company holidays on my calendar, I came across an entry I had made last year, somewhat frivolously, an appointment with Kath to join her at John Ringo's grave on the anniversary of his death, and drink a toast. I felt a small pang, but was pleased that I didn't start bawling in the middle of my new job. Then I came home, and found a package. How nice, that someone would send me something. In it was Kath's book on the desert, with a very nice note from her editor. Now I am bawling.
