When I came home from work today I opened my front door, which opens onto the living room. I heard a thump, and a scrape, as I pushed open the door. I was confused, because I didn't leave anything in front of the door when I left this morning, and no one else is staying here right now. I opened the door just wide enough to squeeze through, and sure enough, there was Dymphna, lying on her side, leaning against the open door. She appeared to be fine, and in fact after her initial hide came out again to wander around. Right now she's sitting on the heating vent. (It's gotten colder here.)

Having run doors over cat tails on carpet, I think this is merely turtle karma in action. No harm.

(I sympathize with sitting on the heating vent. In California winters that was always my favorite spot, too.)

Hey, you bought her a heating vent! The boys would like to observe, shiveringly, that they don't have one of those. I am the world's worst cat-Chaz. They keep telling me this. (This morning, there was the Affair of the Sossidges. Wherein I had some and they didn't. This is apparently never to be forgotten.)

Galen, unlike any other cat I have known, does not like the heater vents. Blowing air bothers him. Unless it's from a window, in which case he approves.

I can't wait to see catz and turtles together on heating vent!

I wonder what the boyz, particularly the Evil One, will do with the turtle food. I leave out a plate of vegetables (usually red peppers and lettuce), and they get around to eating it eventually. Do the boyz like red peppers?

And lettuce. Sometimes. (Greenstuff is not mushrooms; nor is redstuff. It may well be nibbled on, but always engulfed.)

Pfft. You don't imagine they're going to share? Nicely?

One thing about moveable rocks. When they want to be immovable rocks, they're immovable.

It's all fun and games until Dymphna closes her shell. If a tail's in the way, well, that's a learning experience. Are you sure you want to be home all day with the fun?
