I just finally noticed that [livejournal.com profile] cokepoet is here. Coke is my oldest friend. We used to jump rope together in elementary school, and he was the co-writer/producer/director of "It Came From a Test Tube". Everyone say hi to Coke!

Hi, Coke!
I've been an admirer of your cinematography for years :)

For several read throughs, I saw that as [livejournal.com profile] cokepot, which had me looking askance.

Coke is actually a Coke, Jr. His father taught at the same university as my mother. And he has a couple of books of poetry published, thus explaining the second half.

Hi, Coke! (I read it as Cokepot, too, which....best not go there....)

Thanks, Maestra.

Do you know the song "Steady With the Maestro", by The Roches?

Nice to meet you.

Can't Blame You

I get askance looks (or would it be "looks askance"?) even in person, sometimes, when I tell my name. :)

We have a kittle with markings like your. She is Eleanor, and she is maybe a year-and-a-half old, and she's tiny compared to our Greta, who is a tortoiseshell and is gigantic.

Nice to meet you.

Hi Pretty Lady.

This guy is Puck, the Lord of Mischief. He's four and would be alpha-male of the Moggy Horde.

I have a friend nicknamed "Morgy," and my significant other is obsessed with satyrs, among other things. A strange synergy there. :)

Karen has told me so much about you! I went to Pocatello with her a couple of years ago and got to see some of the filming locations, and we looked for your poetry book in the one downtown used bookstore. The two of you should collaborate on another screenplay.

Hmmm...I have a script in progress in which the romantic lead is a satyr. [g]

We started one...

But it never got out of the very early planning stages. K. wanted something about a clash between mods and rockers. I, frankly, had little idea what she was talking about, so we never even had a beginning of a script, or, if we did, I didn't understand it.

Check out the trailer for "The Nomi Song" on http://www.apple.com/trailers/ . Maybe that or "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"? I haven't seen it. Period rock mockumentaries.
