My TiVo is dying, just when I have a chance to actually watch it. I'd love to get the new one that records two shows at once, but I need to watch my money, and right now I need a model that will let me call in to get show info rather than use wifi. Oh, well, that will be my birthday present to myself. Anyone know where you can buy a TiVo?

Just watch, my car will die next.

There's bargains to be had, still, with TiVos. If it's a simple case of hard drive failure, you may be able to replace it for cheaper than buying a new box (and keep a lifetime sub going, which adds up). Try www.weaknees.com -- I was able to add a whole lot of drive space to my Series 1 through them.

It does look like a hard drive failure, but I don't have a lifetime subscription, more fool me.
