The memorial service was beautiful. The West Kingdom Choir and the Treblemakers sounded absolutely lovely. More people were there than I've ever seen in that church. Thank you, everyone, for coming, and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] j_i_m_r and the Company of St. Teresa for the food, and to [livejournal.com profile] helblonde and the sewing night folks for decorating and closing down. Canon Linda said that the post-funeral spread was the best she'd ever seen, and she's been to a lot of funerals.

I apologize for leaving when I did, but I was about to have a meltdown. Mom handed me a glass of wine when I came in, and I'm feeling much better now.

Teresa's professors and classmates came to the service, and the chairman of the department said that they decided to award her Master's degree posthumously. I'm very pleased by that.

Good.
She earned it.

I want to say - I'm glad it went well - but that sounds funny.

Many hugs. I am glad it was beautiful.

I thought of the service while I was at work. I know she would be pleased at the recognition of her efforts. Good for them to thus honor her.

Now comes the hardest part.

Which makes one appreciate one's loved ones and friends all the more.

Love, C.

I've just gotten back online after 2 weeks with almost no internet.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Teresa's death. She went out of her way to help me a couple of times, when I was just a friend of a friend.

She will always live on as long as we remember her.

To Teresa.

I noticed you from a post to mevennen. Something made me have a look at your site. It's clear you lost a very dear and close friend. The eulogy was lovely. I'm sorry for your loss (if that means anything from a stanger).
