1. I came home to my first "mess" on the floor. Made *after* the housekeeper had gone.

2. Dymphna decided to sit right in the bathroom doorway. In the dark. Did I mention that she's black and dark brown? And about three inches tall?

You could paint her a bright color. Perhaps shell gold with some inlaid jewels like the guy in the book Darian Gray found so inspiring. I think he just liked shiny things, rather than a need to see the tortise in the dark.
