Sneaky turtle

I found Dymphna, who was sitting behind the TV cart. This is a piece of furniture on wheels that I got twenty years or so ago, and has a cabinet in front for tapes and DVDs, and on which the television sits. Behind it are the various cables that attach to the TiVo, the DVD player, etc. I couldn't figure out where she could have come from or where she'd been, until I suddenly had a brainstorm. Sure enough, the back of the TV cart has a higher opening than the front, making a little hidden cave. I bet she's been in there.

Thanks. I've been on Weight Watchers for a long time, and have lost 70 pounds so far. I'm a lot more fit, but that's coming from completely out of shape.

See, you're not a bad mom. Dymphna thinks you are a good mom because you let her play and explore, and you provide great, secure, well hidden places for her to snuggle up in for as long as she likes. Only good loving moms provide such perfect places for their critters to hole up in! :-)

I'm hoping she's not looking for a perfect place to hybernate. She's never hybernated before, and I don't know what to do.

Is it unhealthy for them to hibernate? Or a sign of unhealthiness?

It's just that they haven't before, and I don't know what to do for them if they do. I keep the house fairly warm for them already, and they need cold to hibernate.
