Another food week
Dec. 8th, 2004 07:28 amIt's 7:30 a.m. on a black and rainy morning, and I'm at work. I had a customer phone call at 7:00, that would have involved a lot of web work and needing to get things off local machines and so on, so I got up early and drove through the rain and the dark so I could take advantage of the network speed at work. And we needed to postpone the meeting (through no fault of the customer). Sigh.
Last night, though, my boss took me and one of the other members of my group out to dinner. Bill, the other member of the group, lives in Chicago and only comes out here rarely, so last night at the end of the work day I asked him if he wanted to go out to dinner with me, but he had already been invited out by Nello, so he invited me along. (I hate inviting myself along when I wasn't originally invited, but it seemed OK with them.) We went to a Cuban restaurant, which was very good. I've been to two different Cuban restaurants before, which were terrible, so I had started to think it was Cuban food that was terrible, but no. This was yummy.
