I went to the farmer's market yesterday with
learnteach, where I got golden beets, carrots, and Chinese green beans (the long, skinny, ropey kind). Mmmm. Today, I made beet and carrot soup, using the blender that Chaz got me this summer (just because he uses the blender far more than I do does not mean he got it for himself), and cooked up the green beans as well. Mmmm. Very tasty, and enough leftovers for the week. I meant to do this last week, but all the veggies I got were from Safeway. Safeway has perfectly fine vegetables, but they didn't have golden beets and Chinese green beans, which are my favorites. So, last week was a fail from both cooking and eating healthily. This week is already looking better.
