Dec. 14th, 2011 10:13 amFor the last month or so my left knee, the one I had surgery on for a torn miniscus a couple of years ago, has been killing me. It's been sore and swollen and has made things like standing up or climbing stairs difficult. This week one of Chaz's friends from England was in town for work and last night we went out to dinner. When we got back to my place, as he was getting in his car and I was unlocking my front door, I turned around to tell him the best route to get back to his hotel. And my knee twisted, then my ankle on my other leg twisted trying to recover, and I fell over yelling things like "Ouch!" (The fall itself was fine, since I've practiced falling in aikido for years.)
Aside from embarrassing myself (even more so given that we'll be spending Christmas Day with this man and his wife), I'm not only not hurt (except for a slightly sore ankle), my left knee is all better! Yay! I can stand up like a normal person. This is great.
