Rocky Horror Glee

I saw my Tivo'd episode of Glee tonight, where they did "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", and they did a great job. One of my favorite numbers was when Mercedes did her version of "Sweet Transvestite", though the others were fantastic. It was also somewhat surreal, given that the show is about a high school glee club. If you like Rocky Horror, I recommend checking it out.

(For bonus fun, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf had parts in the episode.)

I dunno. I was 14 when I discovered Rocky Horror. ;-)

Haven't seen the episode (or, in fact, the show), but this one and the Lady GaGa ones I'd like to catch sometime.

I went to Rocky Horror for the first time when I was in high school, too, but I wouldn't expect my classmates to play the part in a high school production of it. But then, my high school was 90% Mormon.

The Madonna episode is very good and worth seeing, too.

Yeah - Rocky wouldn't fly at most high schools, even though high school students are fans. Still, high school on t.v. is so rarely what high school is in reality.

Especially when you consider that the guy who plays Finn (the quarterback) is 28, and a lot of the "girls" are 24.

What I find amusing was that Rocky Horror was R rated when it came out. Now they show it on FMC in an all day marathon on Halloween (only edits for commercials as far as I could tell).

I'll have to go find that episode online -- I forgot to set up the record function (I never watch Glee normally).
