It's currently 41 degrees in Newcastle. Someone came by in the night and stole all the snow. The grass in the park across the street is a nice dark green. And in Sunnyvale? It's 37 degrees. I'm glad I'm in the balmy north of England.

Newcastle is on the correct coast, if you were across on the other one, I'm not sure it would be quite so balmy - but barmy now - that's another matter!

I've discovered that 30F is comfortable if one is spending one's time digging drainage trenches with shovel and pick axe. I even worked up a sweat!

Glad to hear that Newcastle is absolutely balmy.
