My aunt had melanoma, and my mother keeps getting pre-cancerous spots on her face from years of gardening outdoors, so I'm careful about things like moles. Today I had one on the left side of face removed. It's currently under a Bandaid (I have no guilt about referring to bandages of this sort by their non-generic term, since I only ever use Bandaid brand), and the local anesthetic has only just started to wear off, but I'm not looking forward to a scar in the middle of my face. It will fade eventually, but still. The middle of my face.

I think ice cream is called for. And wine.

Would you be interested in some essential oils that can significantly assist healing and help minimize scarring? :-) I've used them and supplied them to many people so far and gotten nothing but good-to-OMFGAMAZING results - I've learned that EOs are good for lots of things but skin trauma seems to be among the most effective treatment areas.

Sure. What kind, and where does one get them?

Send me a msg with your address and I'll send you a little sample bottle - I'm always happy to send out samples and it will last you well through healing this wound and probably others. If you like it enough to want more when that runs out, I'm happy to sell it to you, and if not, at least you will have much less of a scar on your face which is a happy thing! :-)

My removals so far have been on my nose, neck, and back. Oh, yes, on my upper lip. (Argh.)

Best wishes on yours healing as well as mine (unnoticeable)!

I swear honey, one of my best amigas, a born and bred New Mexican, had one taken off the middle of her forehead also. She felt like you do now. I swear, honey, that within 12 months nobody could tell anything had happened there at all.

Well, maybe, with a microscopic mirror and lights and so on. Being real and all. But still.

It will be well, You!

Love, C.

Thanks. This is right along the fold of my skin next to my mouth, so I'm hoping it won't show much due to that.

You can always tell people it's a dueling scar. And that's way better than leaving it alone and seeing what developed. (shudder) Hope the wine helped!

Belated hugs. I'm glad you got it removed. Both my mom and dad had to have skin cancers removed -- and those surgeries are a lot more invasive.

I'd rather have you hear, scar and all.
