, which is coming out at the end of this month (and which should be available for sale at BayCon). The author name he's using is Ben Macallan, which is the name of a character in a couple of his earlier urban fantasy novels. They're both very good, and are now both available as e-books. Dead of Light and Light Errant are novels about Ben Macallan, the white sheep of a dangerous family that controls a town by terror. Ben is the white sheep by virtue of being the only person in his family who doesn't have the gift of magical power, power that the rest of his family uses to torture and intimidate the people of the town. Ben has left his family in disgust, and vowed to have nothing to do with them, but the ties of family are strong. And someone is killing his family.
