I left Chaz at the end of a not-too-dauntingly-long line at the security checkpoint at the San Jose airport. The nice man at the checkin counter gave Chaz a window seat in the exit row, but I'm not sure for which leg of the trip. Both would be ideal, but either leg is good, since the shortest one is five hours.

Sigh. I may see him again in September, or possibly October, or at Christmas. No job makes these things iffy. In the meantime, I'll be at my writers group and SF in SF tonight, at Hobee's with acanthusleaf for brunch tomorrow, with Ann and the younger godchildren on Monday. Plus I have job hunting to do in all the between-times to keep me busy. It may be time to pick up the Robin Hood novel again....

Your house will seem rather empty without him. He already belongs there, and clearly that kitchen was built just for him. I too hope he can come back very soon.
