I should probably add that I'm very glad that Chaz speaks French. I do not. Even the few words I do know become Spanish when I try to say them.

::giggling:: I have that trouble too. I swear, there's one bin in my brain labeled "foreign" and all the non-English words I know go in it, are shaken, and come out again regardless if it’s Spanish, French, or Italian I’m trying to speak.

Same here, brain has two language bins: Murkan and Forn. I once asked someone "Donde esta la bebe?"

Sympathies! Hope you have fun anyway.

I've been muchly amused in bilingual French/Spanish conversations - each of us speaking a different language, but with enough similarities so we get the general drift. But it lacks a great deal of precision.

It may be one of the hazards of living in CA. If we were in Canada, I suspect our Spanish would come out Frenchified. LOL

LOL. I thought that I was the only one that starts trying to speak French and ends up speaking Spanish. Rat always mocks me when that happens...not that I see him trying to speak anything but 'Merican.

Heh. H gave up trying to learn Spanish from Rosetta Stone because, well, it kept complaining about his French pronunciation.
