*OK, the US Geological Survey downgraded it to a 3.9, but it sure *felt* like a 4.2, especially on the 8th floor. (Mostly just mild shaking, and the blinds rattling. Nothing broken.) The people on the conference call thought our reaction was funny, though.

*Talking about earthquakes.

They now have it graded at a 4.0 (5PM). It was quite strong where I was in Walnut Creek. My desk moved!

I was standing still at 8:15 last night and felt that one, but missed the one in the afternoon. But I was on the Peninsula during the day, so maybe that's why I missed it.

Yeah, there you are doing business as usual and somebody just says as if in continuity, "Why yes, I do believe we're currently experiencing an earthquake judging by the rocking of my chair and the floor."
