1. I had an absolutely wonderful time at

acanthusleaf's tea party today. The food was waaaaay too yummy (I've reached the point where my pants are feeling tight -- WW for reals now), and the company was fabulous. I got to meet new people and talk to old friends who I don't get to see very often. What a great time.

2. I went to my company Christmas party last night, up at the San Francisco Zoo. What a great place for a dinner party. Some of the zookeepers showed us animals beforehand, including a great horned owl, a possum, a ferret, and a boa. The best part, though, was the baby alligator, that was about a foot and a half long and not even the width of my fist across. I got to pet it. It felt just like Dymphna, but I bet *it* bites.

3. I think I've figured out something innovative to solve one of the work priorities I've been investigating. If I'm right, that will be very nice.

4. Our new bed is huge. We got a queen-size bed because Chaz is a lot taller than me, and it takes up more than a quarter of the entire room. I've had to rearrange some things so it will fit. It's *very* comfortable. (Sigh. I miss Chaz.)

5. My mother got me some new sheets for Christmas that fit the new bed. I don't know that I would have thought of that until, well, bedtime last night.
