After traveling through San Mateo (aka a maze of twisty passages streets all alike) I found my way from the wrong library to the correct one, and got to hear the end of Chaz's friend Val's talk. Afterwards, she and I went out to dinner at the Kabul restaurant in San Mateo. She's a wonderful person. She's intelligent and nice and likes Chaz, so obviously she must be wonderful. I had a lot of fun.

Nope, just Val. In fact, Laurie K. was supposed to have been there, too, but she was feeling under the weather. Val had a nice car with a driver (instead of Laurie driving her) who drove us to dinner. I could get used to that.
