I realize that tea time is long past, and no gooshy food for the boys yet. I'll be on my own with them this coming week, and I don't get home from work until 7:00, so I'm holding off on feeding them tonight until 7:00. They will be starving, starving I tell you, and rightly so I suppose. There will be something of a treat tomorrow, though, as I'm going to introduce them to the rest of the house. [livejournal.com profile] acanthusleaf came over and helped me do some work so that the most fragile things are shut into closets. I need to make sure the bread is somewhere, if not out of their reach, at least difficult. The boys should have challenges.

What a good and wise Cat-mommy you're becoming.

Almost any item inside some sort of plastic bag (like the bread wrapper, even if you are using cloth shopping bags instead of plastic ones) will be on intense interest because of the sound the plastic stuff makes. Brown paper shopping bags make dandy toys though.

Watch out for cat treats which come in plastic pouches. The sound of any plastic pouch being opened (such as cough drops for human consumption) is taken as a sign that treats are about to be served. Also, if such treats are kept in a cabinet, the sound of any cabinet door being opened anywhere in the house will work the magic spell of cat summoning.
