So far this morning, in the half an hour they've been let into the main house, the boys have

1. Tried to eat the last urviving bouquet from my bridal shower (Mac)
2. Tried to jump onto the windowsill in the living room , only to discover there isn't one (Barry)
3. Been banned from my study for jumping on my computer keypad (Mac), probably because he was confused by the rocks*

The boys seem to be in search of a patch of sunshine, but given the time of day and the angle of the house, that's hard.

*Dymphna was in my study because yesterday I brought her in to make sure she was eating and drinking. She appears to have spent the night, possibly because she was too scared after seeing the boys to go back to the bedroom. G'Kwan has since found her. I may have to set up a Bingenage In my study.

My condolences. See my LJ, she said, sourly.

Do your turtles have a tank, or are they too big? One of T's cats spent hours watching the fish.

My turtles are land turtles, and are too big for a tank. They just run around the house, where "run around" means "slowly walk from hidden place to hidden place, unless being chased by G'Kwan".

Life with cats is very very different from life without cats.

Wait until they start lobbying for you to turn the house so that the patches of sunshine shine in the right places at the right times!

OK, I'll bite: what's "Bingenage"?

A place of refuge for women. The first was started by St. Hildegard of Bingen.

Have you considered building a shelf for the kitties so they can look outside.

That did wonders for my cats, and it was really easy to do. They just jumped up and sat there peacefully gazing out at the bird feeder right outside. The birds never seemed to notice because there was a screen between them and the glass.

I love Barry's try for the windowsill. Did he walk away actiing all cool and "I meant that?"

Cat trees or some kind of shelf at one window will make them happy.

Of course he meant that. And yes, we plan to get a cat tree for that spot in front of the window, and another one for in front of the window in my office.
