Apparently neither Bed, Bath, and Beyond nor Sur la Table are capable of processing UK credit cards, so we have started an Amazon.com wish list. Sigh. This is so weird. It helps that I'm drinking a very nice wine right now. But if you're interested, check us out. There are some cool things there. And thanks.

UK credit cards - wtf??? - mine works just fine, although it did take a while to get the combination of US address, UK based card sorted out for online transactions - mine is a VISA via Barclays if that is any help :)

It's the UK addresses that are the problem.

Bed, Bath and Beyond is a national chain. I'm really surprised they have no mechanism in place for paying for gift orders from overseas credit card accounts.

It might, but I haven't been able to get through to their customer service to find out how. The problem isn't the cards, though, it's the British addresses.

But the product is being delivered to Sunnyvale, CA, right?

The British addresses on the credit cards. The "bill to" UI doesn't handle anything except US addresses.
