A real weekend

Today we did what couples do on the weekend when nothing in particular is planned, and it's been lovely so far. It helps that the sun is shining and the day is warm. I hope next Saturday is as sunny and warm. Right now weather.com shows rain rain rain rain *sunshine* rain rain rain, with the sunshine on the 14th, but we'll see. And make plans.
Today we took All the Junk and All the Cardboards to the Sunnyvale dump, so the broken things on the back patio are gone gone gone, and the assorted cardboard boxes that have been accumulating are gone, too, to the boys' chagrin. Mac did help with the flattening of the boxes, though, if "jumping on the box stack and making them slide" is the same as helping.
We also went to Hobee's for lunch (and coffeecake), then we went to University Art and picked up some prints we had framed. One is of Chaz interviewing Val McDiarmid in the Lit and Phil, and it really captures what the library looks like (and you can identify Chaz and Val), and it looks fabulous framed. We then went to the Mountain View consignment store, and found a couple of small tables for the clubhouse, to put next to the slightly more comfortable chairs so people have a place to put their drinks and books. Then home for naps (for me) and gardening (for Chaz). And soon dinner. It's a nice day.
