Things that fascinate Mac

1. Watching from the window while Chaz plants vegetables.

2. Watching from the window while Chaz digs up old gladiolus bulbs.

3. Watching from the window while Chaz waters the garden.

What do all these things have in common? Chaz is outside and Mac is inside, which is very unfair. However, Mac also finds the paper shredder fascinating (and just a teeny bit scary). I'm also now his best friend. When we came back from trying on wedding clothes Mac sat on the coffee table while I wrote thank you notes, with his furry nose pushed up against my fingers. And just now, he was sitting in my desk chair. He's either in love with me or with the shredder. Hard to tell.

Because the socket where I plug in my shredder is SO difficult to get to, I leave it plugged in. It occurred to me one day that it was within the realm of possibility that one of my kitties (I'm looking at YOU, O'Keefe) *could* step down on the On button, slip, and run a paw into the teeth of the thing. Even though it was VERY unlikely, just the *thought* horrified me so much I went and found the Chief Mischief-maker and gave her extra hugs and pettins. So I put a 9 x 13 cake pan upside down over the top of the thing. That makes it much less likely.
