Springing it
Apr. 22nd, 2012 12:22 pmI'm sitting in a recliner with my feet up, reading a friend's book. The window to my left is open, and Mac is poised at the sill, his shoulder muscles tight and his head shaking while he makes his squeaky noise that says he's targeting something bird-like. Under the cabinet to my right are noises indicating the turtles are, um, enjoying the fact that it's spring. Yes, it's a lovely spring day.

It's a long, narrow table the same height as the back of most sofas, and it has one shelf a few inches off the floor that is the same size as the tabletop. We've discovered iy makes a wonderful place to let books, magazines, unread mail, etc., pile up--two "shelves" to hold all the stuff we're not ready to put away on regular bookshelves or into the trash yet. And that lower shelf can hold an amazingly tall stack of books.
