Industriousness

I've reached the "getting mad" stage regarding my walking, which right now involves tight muscles and weak muscles and spasming. Thanks to
balutakat and
jeanvieve I have joined 24 Hour Fitness and started attending yoga class. I can't do most of the moves, and the ones I can do I can't do for long, but my body, instead of screaming, is saying "Yes! Yes! More of this!" I also am getting an appointment with a fitness specialist there who can show me some exercises that my body can handle right now. I hope this helps long term.
I had intended to go to the investiture of Mari and Brocc today, but last night I got very little sleep (looks at small gray cat who scampered into our bedroom at 5:30 this morning chirruping and inviting us to play). So instead, once I finally got up and got moving, I started sorting things from the (still!) unpacked boxes from *my* move. I have a pile of good things that I want to give away, things that I want to sell, and art supplies to give to a friend who works at a school. Maybe by the time Chaz's 117 boxes get here I'll be unpacked.
I submitted a story to a YA SF anthology a couple of weeks ago. Chaz did, too, and he got a (nice) rejection today, so mine should be coming soon. Also, I finished my story for an anthology I was invited to and sent it in. I hope the editor likes it (and takes it). Chaz is going to have a story in it, and I think it would be cool for us both to have stories in the same anthology.
On the days I work from home I've started working from the clubhouse. Our wifi reaches that far and I like the privacy. I also like it that in order to get a drink or use the bathroom, I have to walk through the backyard, past the orange tree and the poppies and the peas. I love how the garden looks, and spending time in the clubhouse is reminding me to take of things in it. I'm looking forward to it being in usable shape. We have a lot more chairs and tables, too. We'll have a party soon.
