We saw this buzzing about in our driveway yesterday. I've never seen a bee like it before.

That guy isn't a bee. I didn't pay good attention in high school Biology class when they talked about insects, so I'm no help in identifying him.

Doesn't look like a bee to me. I think Cynthia is correct. The shape is cicada-like., although the ones I've seen have been darker in color.

I have been setting up "homes" for them for years, which helps the flowers in my yard.

It also could be a teddy bear bee.

We've seen some very interesting bumble bees around our place. I need to be able to identify interesting critters.
