Gunpowder, Treason, and Purple Slime
Nov. 7th, 2004 04:29 pmMy Guy Fawkes party was a lot of fun. Quite a few people showed up (over 30, including 5 kids), and most stayed for several hours. There's nothing like a good bonfire to make a party.
learnteach took charge of the bonfire for me, and did a great job. My older godson was a godsend, helping me with setup. I had so much fun seeing friends and catching up. I had people come from all areas of my life, and they seemed to be mingling fairly well. (That's because they're all such great people.) At one point I showed "It Came From a Test Tube," since the people who are going to help me with the Director's Cut were there, and the audience enjoyed it (probably because I warned them in advance what a bad movie it was). My work friends wanted to see my armor, which I showed them, but I also asked for a show of hands of people present who owned armor and wore it to fight in, and got enough hands raised to show that while I may be weird, I'm not that weird. Now I'm wandering around languidly cleaning up the last of the party things. Maybe I'll take a nap.
