I'm getting sick of this

I can't fall asleep, because every time I lie down I start coughing. In fact, I keep coughing sitting up, but not as much, and I don't have that drowning feeling. I also don't get sick days at work, so if I don't go to work, I won't get paid. Boy, do I need a new job. I've taken lots of medicine, and the scary thing is that it's actually helping some.

My favorite British word is "whinging".
