I had my first class as a black belt last night. I dragged my friend Dave to class with me, so he could show me how to put on the hakama, so that was all right. I discovered that there's a stiff piece of cardboard built into the thing that sits in the small of the back, so after rolling on it last night, my back hurts. And my knees hurt. And I still have a cold. But other than that class was fun. Afterwards several of my friends and I went to Chevy's (a local Cal-Mex chain) to celebrate me passing the test, which was a lot of fun, too.
