When Terry Bisson moved out here from New York a while back I contacted him about starting up an SF reading series like the one he and Constance Ash had been sponsoring in New York. We tried to find a good venue to host it in the Bay Area, but couldn't find the right place. He called me this weekend to tell me that he's been doing some teaching at New College in San Francisco, and one of their professors wants to help host "SF in SF", a science fiction reading series like the one we had discussed, and would I like to help? (Yes.)
So, Robert Silverberg and Kim Stanley Robinson will be the first SF in SF readers on March 28 at New College in San Francisco. I'll let you know more details, like the time (evening, probably around 6:30-9:30) and directions (such as which auditorium), as they get finalized. In the meantime, pencil in that date. It will be fun.
