OK, just the hail. We had a hailstorm this morning about an hour ago. The hail wasn't that big, so no cars were damaged, but it was certainly surprising.
LOL -- we had hail last night. Last night I was driving home and we had a freak storm -- complete with "severe thunderstorm warnings" (something you never associate with the Puget Sound), but I digress. The really neat thing about this storm was the hail -- it was more like pea - macadamea nut sized snow balls. So imagine a huge (never ending) bucket of cooked peas being poured over your car and hitting your windshield. The sound was more of a "thud" than a "smush", so it was really neat while it lasted.
Some folks on my high school alumni list who still live in SoCal are posting pictures taken today of suburban streets where everything's covered in a layer of hail pellets.
