Hail, hail, fire and snow

OK, just the hail. We had a hailstorm this morning about an hour ago. The hail wasn't that big, so no cars were damaged, but it was certainly surprising.

LOL -- we had hail last night. Last night I was driving home and we had a freak storm -- complete with "severe thunderstorm warnings" (something you never associate with the Puget Sound), but I digress. The really neat thing about this storm was the hail -- it was more like pea - macadamea nut sized snow balls. So imagine a huge (never ending) bucket of cooked peas being poured over your car and hitting your windshield. The sound was more of a "thud" than a "smush", so it was really neat while it lasted.

I just missed having to drive in the hail, but it was interesting to watch from safe inside.
