Rain, rain, go away
Apr. 4th, 2006 01:50 pmMy vacation, which I had envisioned as long training walks interspersed with golf in a warm, sunny environment, has turned into rainy days mostly spent inside. So far, we've broken local records for the number of days with rain in the month of March, and the number of consecutive days of rain. And, the forecast for the next ten days is solid rain.
However, I did go on two walks this past weekend, despite the rain. I had a nice hour-and-a-half walk around the marshes on Saturday, then on Sunday afternoon
learnteach and I walked for slightly over three hours (partly in the rain). And we have plans for more walking tomorrow. (It helps that I've realized I own an umbrella.) My knees still bother me if I've walked a long time, so that's something to work on. I still have high hopes I'll make the full 20 miles on the Overnight walk in July.
(Let me just take a moment to put in my donation page link, for those of you who have been meaning to contribute: http://www.theovernight.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=extranet.personalpage&confirmid=10003564 ).
