magic realism. Her latest novel is ADVENTURES IN TIME AND SPACE WITH MAX MERRIWELL, which Publisher’s Weekly called the "cerebral equivalent of a roller-coaster ride." Pat will be reading from THE CITY NOT LONG AFTERr, a novel set in a post-apocalyptic San Francisco that has been taken over by artists.
TERRY BISSON is the author of a dozen or so SF books, most recently GREETINGS and NUMBERS DON’T LIE from San Francisco’s Tachyon Publications. He is perhaps best known for his short stories: “Bears Discover Fire”, which won the Nebula, Hugo and Locus awards in 1990, and “macs”, which won a Nebula and France’s Gran Prix de l’Imaginaire in 2000. “They’re Made out of Meat” has been made into a prize-winning short film. Bisson’s non-SF includes biographies and film scripts about Mumia Abu Jamal, Nat Turner and abolitionist John Brown.
