Today, I actually spent some time over at Maria's working on . . . (no, really, I did) . . . scrolls. I got all the grass done on the matching Viscounties I've been working on for forever, using the blending technique that aastg showed me. It looks pretty good, and I hope it will look better after I paint in all the individual grass blades and flowers.

I'm working on a pair too. It's drawn, and R is doing the calligraphy now. I'll do the painting next week. Fun!

I'm sure it will be perfect once you get the grass blades and flowers on it...funny, but the base shading of the grass done this way looks flat until you put the details on.
