Golf clubs and Giants tickets
Aug. 19th, 2005 11:10 pmI have taken home my boss's wife's golf clubs for the weekend, so I can take them to a driving range and try to hit more balls. I'm feeling very corporate right now. I'm trying to turn myself from "geeky" to "charmingly eccentric".
I also got some tickets to the Giants/Mets game next weekend. These are someone else's season tickets, and look like they're good seats. They also come with free parking, and include a special season ticketholders' picnic on the field after the game. Anyone want to go with me?

If, on the other hand, you play golf and attend sporting events that you otherwise could not care less about, then you are playing a part, and are being less than honest, or an actor.
I love you, Karen. Don't be someone that other people need or want you to be, or even someone who you want you to be in others' eyes.
Just be you. Don't plan out your future life based on the critical or kind eyes of others.
Do what you want to do just because you want to do it, not because you are throwing up some smokescreen that makes you appear to be this or that.
With love,
Coke

I just don't get to do these things very often, because very few of my friends like them, so I usually don't have anyone to go with me.

Do your attempts at goodness depend on your self or the self of others?
